Publishing Standards
Project Forge believes publishing carries responsibilities to the work, the creator, and the reader.
We aim to publish material only when it is sufficiently developed, reviewed, and prepared for release. Where a work makes factual claims, those claims should be supported and presented honestly. Where a work is fictional, its marketing should still represent the book accurately.
We keep the identities of the publishing company, its authors, individual series, titles, imprints, and campaigns distinct. A publishing house should support the identity of a work without overwhelming it.
We do not require positive reviews, fabricate reader responses, manufacture marketplace proof, or present paid promotion as independent recognition.
We favor durable editorial and publishing decisions over short-lived launch tactics. Marketing should help the right readers discover a book—not mislead them about what the book is.
When a meaningful error is identified, we believe it should be reviewed and corrected responsibly. Rights, permissions, attribution, and ownership should be handled with care.
These standards are intended to protect the integrity of the work and the trust of the people who read it.
Report a correction
If you believe a Project Forge page, book listing, or public description contains a meaningful error, you may report it for review. Reports are reviewed carefully. Not every report results in a change.
Please include the title or page affected, edition or format if known, location of the possible issue, a brief description, any supporting information, and a preferred follow-up contact.
